Junsu’s letter to fans at Lotte Fanmeeting

Translation
To be able to overcome so many difficulties, and to successfully complete our world tour, all of these are thanks to everyone of you. Although I do also think that it’s a miracle that we’ve made it up till here, but we won’t just stop here, and continue to venture out to find a bigger world out there. To me, I think that something like that is the best return gift that JYJ can give to the fans.
Today I’m happy meeting everyone, and also being able to share a happy memory with you. All of your smiles will form my smile, and if you’re happy, it becomes JYJ’s motivating force. Although this moment together now is ending, please treasure the memory of today until our next meeting. We will also treasure this moment preciously, and do our best so that we can return your love.
I would like to give my thanks to all of you who travelled from so far to come and see JYJ today. I’m always happy that all of our precious fans are together with us.
And I love you.

#2CNBLUE : "Where You Are" singles Theme

-You said that the theme of your entire debut single was “dreams and hopes”. Is there also a theme that all three songs share this time?
YongHwa: The theme is still “dreams and hopes”, but compared to our last single, all the songs were upgraded in power. We’re sending positive messages that, “no matter what desperate situation you fall into, you should never give up. If you change the way you see it, everything will work out alright.” I think that in WYA, the subject of “you” is not a specific someone, but it can change depending on each individual listener.

JongHyun: Also, “we continue running” is another theme that runs through the entire album.

#2CNBLUE : JongHyun's talk about "Get Away"

JongHyun: The second song, “Get Away” is a song I wrote specifically for live performances.
-It has a very speedy feel to it. Even just listening it on a CD, I could naturally imagine the live performance of the song.

JongHyun: I’m glad my intention worked. To be honest, I wanted to perform this song early at our tour last time, but I restrained myself and we showed just little bit of WYA.

-When you created “Get away”, did you actually watch videos of live performances?

JongHyun: Since I already have the experiences of live performances well ingrained in my body, I didn’t watch videos to write the song or anything. But in my mind, as I brainstormed about how I’d like to do the next live performance and how to structure the song, I realized that many of our songs are in medium-tempo. From there I thought, If we add more upbeat tune, we would have more intense and energized live performances.

JungShin: By the way, “Get Away” is the most recently written among the songs.

JongHyun: It was finished two months ago.

[News] [120114]2AM receives special treatment on Nippon TV in Japan

Recently, Japanese broadcasting Nippon Television Network Corporation (abbreviated as NTV) has reorganized its program log for 2AM.
In the episode of NTV’s Oha! 4 News Live that aired on January 12, 2AM gave a performance of its song “Can’t Let You Go Even If I Die” in Japanese version.
Oha! 4 News Live is a morning show that has never allowed any foreign musicians, even top artists of its own country, to sing their whole song.
However, it gave a special exception to 2AM. They prepared a live stage for 2AM, proving the group’s explosive popularity in Japan.
After the broadcast, the online board was filled with comments like “Although it was a live show at the dawn of a day, it felt as if I was listening to a CD. The performance was just perfect.”
2AM will hold its first Japan tour concert divided into four times under the title of “2AM 1st Japan Tour 2012.” It begins on January 24 in Nagoya.

[Trans] 120111 2AM Special Interview on Oricon Style

2AM Have Finally Made Their Debut in Japan with Their Famous Korean Hit Song!
2AM have finally debuted in Japan with their single “Never let you go ~Shindemo Hanasanai~.” This is the famous song that boasts of having the most downloads in the history of Korea’s songs! Listening to the soulful voices of these 4 men in this chorus work is sure to titillate your mind and soul. However, they will fill you with laughter in this lighthearted interview. The 4 members of 2AM are gaining much interest due to the charming gap between their music and talks.

We brag about the wonderful music we’ve done

—-You’ve finally released your Japan debut single “Never let you go ~Shindemo Hanasanai~.”
[Jo Kwon] We’ve truly been waiting for this!

—-Congratulations!
[All] Thank you.
[Jo Kwon] Since it was our first time singing in Japanese we worked really hard practicing as much as we could in order to perfect our pronunciations.
[Seulong] On the day of the recording the staff really helped direct us before we started singing.

—-It’s perfect! It’s truly the work of practice.
[Jo Kwon] (smiling from ear to ear) Thank you. Truthfully, I was really nervous to hear my finished part of the song, but now I feel that we all tried our very best.
[Seulong] What contributes to that feeling is the people around us who have told us “it sounds natural to listen to.” It greatly encouraged and relieved me.
[Jo Kwon] Even so, Japanese is still very difficult for us. I think we really need to formally study even more.
[Changmin] We’re different from other Korean artists; instead of charming everyone with our songs and performances we want you to listen to our songs thoroughly, so since our appeal as a group is through our vocal strength, even a little bit of bad pronunciation in our songs would destroy our entire image, and so we concentrated on even the most trivial parts when we sang.

#2CNBLUE : What are CNBLUE goals for 2012?

JungShin: Certainly, in 2012 as well, I want to perform live a lot and have many people listen to our, CNBLUE’s music and be loved by them.
image
JongHyun: Performing live is surely number one for me, now that we have more songs that we want to perform live. image

MinHyuk: I also want many live performances! We’re all addicted to performing. Without live performances, we can’t live! image

YongHwa: Before, there were times when I couldn’t express the things that I had imagined and wanted to do and felt frustrated. But during the tour we had in December, my mind and body were completely in sync, so I was able to express all that I wanted to do. Though, when I thought it was just right, the tour ended.

JungShin: When the tour ended, I realized everything had really ended and felt sad.

JungShin: But it’s okay! There’s another tour in February! —

4Minute Sohyun's message to 4nias

After the Idol Star Athletics Championships ended, we came back to the dorm. I looked at posts here and there and now I’m writing one ㅎㅎ
Recently I’ve been thinking that we have to work really hard for the next album to save all you 4nias ㅎㅎ
We have a lot of activities in our schedules so I want to give a lot of hints(?) Is that what it’s called? I want to give a lot of those ㅎㅎ
We want to make it so that you can go around saying that you’re a 4nia proudly ㅎㅎ Not that you’re discouraged to be a 4nia right now ㅎ
Thank you very much to the 4nias who came to the Idol Star Athletics Championships to see us even though we aren’t promoting right now
My eyesight isn’t that good but I think for the few minutes that I was able to see, I only paid attention to 4nias ㅎㅎ Don’t be sad if you couldn’t find 4minute ㅜㅜ
I looked around for 4nias even with my eyes slightly open ㅎㅎ I said this before too, right? I see only 4nias in 3D ㅎㅎ
A lot of things happened today but from now on we will pay more attention to our 4nias ㅎㅎ
And there were people today who almost witnessed something scary, but it’s a relief that nothing happened..!! (?)
Also you probably saw that our hair colors changed in the article photos today, right? I want to give a lot of hints(?) here and there but..
I’m waiting until things are more precisely set before I tell you ㅎㅎ
Even then you feel that our comeback is slowly approaching, right?ㅎㅎ We are trying our best while recording and preparing so even if it’s tiring, please be strong ㅎㅎ ㅎㅎ
4nias are like the kings/queens of patience since you have to wait almost a year for our albumsㅋ Just wait a few more weeks ㅎㅎ
Hwaiting!! ㅎㅎ
Anyway I was looking at my (twitter) mentions and cafe posts so this post turned out to be long.. ㅎㅎ Please understand ㅎㅎ
4minute will be thinking a lot about 4nias ㅎㅎ ㅎㅎ

120112 [NEWS] MBLAQ: We will show 100% in new Album!

Five MBLAQ members made a comeback with their new mini album “100% Version,” and the member G.O said, “We had released our first official album last year, and we have come to release our fourth album this time. We thought that it might be the right time for us to present our true appearance filled with 100 percent of energy.” The members expressed their determination to present everything that they had prepared for the past three years since their debut in the title of the album. Right after MBLAQ released their album on January 10, the members said, “We worked for this album for more than one year to fully present what we have, and we have confidence in our album.” Seung Ho said, “We had focused on creating our own songs to have our own distinguished characters before, but this time, we focused on the perfection of the album. Many producers created songs for us from last year, and we practiced those songs very hard. As we have fully prepared for the album, we are now full of confidence about our performance.” G.O said, “People in our agency all agreed that this album might be the best among our albums. We will make the first appearance on January 12 through M.Net’s ‘M Countdown,’ and we want you to highly anticipate our performance.”
The mini album “100% Version” contains a total of five songs including the title song “It’s War,” and four other songs such as “Run,” “Scribble,” “Jittery Girl,” and “Hello My Ex.” The title song “It’s War” is a hip hop song with an outstanding performance by a 50-piece orchestra, and it has lyrics about a man who becomes outraged by his best friend who had stolen his love. “Scribble” sings the sadness from a farewell with the sounds of a harmonica, and “Jittery Girl” sounds cheerful and pleasant as a particular song for idol group and “Run,” which has a dynamic sound utilizing auto tune, sounds very exciting and attractive. The group members agreed, “We wanted to break the prejudice of people who think that MBLAQ has a limitation by presenting this new album.” G.O said, “We wanted to show that we have unlimited capabilities, so we contained different songs with varied feelings and the members changed their parts within the group. We had usually allocated our parts before, so the vocalists sing and the rappers only rap, but we changed this way of singing and rapping and all of us sing and rap together by exchanging each other’s part.” Seung Ho, who tried rap for the first time since his debut, said, “I had thought that rap would be very easy, but actually I was wrong. It was very difficult to highlight the melody while rapping, and the member Mir who used to take the rap part suddenly looked amazing.”

- What kind of kid are you when you were a student?
From young, I have always been a bright and cheerful kid, and in class I’m a mood maker too

-So YH, now you are CNBLUE’s leader, but I heard when you’r a student, you have a leader’s quality too.
In high school, I was a vice class president~~

-looks like you were a good student
At that time, In my class there were excellent students who has the ability to attend Seoul University Law School. I feel that I have good relationship with the teacher. rather than good at studying, i think it’s more because of my personality that I can get teacher’s recommendation (Laugh)

-So from you were young, you like to be noticeable?
Yes, from middle school I sang on school festival, and getting everyone’s attention

-What about band?
No, I’m not performing in band form. I sang a very popular Korea Pop Song at that time. There are times where I sing with friends too
At that time, I already started composing songs, but it’s in a skill level that can’t be revealed

-What about your grades?
I feel it’s not too bad. Because i don’t really like studying, so I didn’t do very well.

-Subject you good at?
English, Because I went to America to study for awhile , so I have fun learning english

-So now you can use it to write lyrics
It’s not that mature yet, I think it helps. When I write lyrics i use a lot of english. With the melody I composed, the most suited one and the smoothest one is english

-I see, so what about your japanese now?
aa~ (sigh) i think it’s the hardest thing I ever learn (bitter smile) I really want to use Japanese to write lyric, but it’s too hard.. I’m sorry

-Oh Really? But during MC time you can speak Japanese fluently
I’m still not there yet.  next I time I need to study more and more~ I hope one day I can speak it perfectly~ I’ll work hard~

Lyric    : JUNG YONG HWA , Kenji Tamai

Japanese lyrics transcribed by @mi_malice

I’m breaking down I am screaming out
My time is running out, what do I do now
Oh, give up? Or stand up? I don’t know
I wanna break the spell now

I’m drowning now
叫びはもう 輝くこと忘れた月のようさ (sakebiwa mou kagayakukoto wasureta tsukino yousa)
(I) scream now, like the moon that has forgotten how to shine
Somewhere lady, look and smile at me. Yeah-

I’m searching where you are
Oh, shining down on me from where you are
I’ll always be right there, baby, always’ll be right there, baby
Oh, please touch my body and my face

I’m searching where you are
Can you see what I need is where you are
I’ll always be right there, baby, always’ll be right there, baby
You know when I can be where you are
Only then I willl shine bright

I’m tumbling down, I’m falling apart
My time is running out What do I do now
Oh, give up? Or stand up? I don’t know.
I wanna break the spell now
Oh, 散っていく (chitteiku)
I’m scattering away
I’m losing myself
震える手を日の当たる場所へ (furueru tewo hino ataru bashoe)
My trembling hands to where they can reach the sun
Somewhere lady, look and smile at me. Yeah-

I’m searching where you are
Oh, shining down on me from where you are
I’ll always be right there, baby, always’ll be right there, baby
Oh, please touch my body and my face

I’m searching where you are
Can you see what I need is where you are
I’ll always be right there, baby, always’ll be right there, baby
You know when I can be where you are
Only then I willl shine bright

歪んだ世界の霞んだ空だとしても (Yukanda sekaino kasunda soradato shitemo)
Even in the murky sky of this twisted world
鳥のように (torino youni)
Like a bird,
I’m searchig where you are right now, until we fly high-

I’m searching where you are
Oh, shining down on me from where you are
I’ll always be right there, baby, always’ll be right there, baby
Oh, please touch my body and my face

I’m searching where you are
Can you see what I need is where you are
I’ll always be right there, baby, always’ll be right there, baby
You know when I can be where you are
Only then I willl shine
Only then I willl shine

CNBLUE appeared in it on the first day of 2012
Rock Band CNBLUE We will find “our color” with our fans. CNBLUE is unique because they stand out among the kpop idols that are mostly made up of dance groups, as CNBLUE is a rock band. After they studied the music in Japan for a half year in 2009, they finally had their major debut in autumn 2011. We asked these four men who are expected to grow bigger this year.
– Why did you study music as a band in Japan?
Jonghyun: In Japan there are many live houses and studio everywhere, so I thought that there would be many things to study. This is because two years ago, the live houses and studios are rather limited in Korea.
Jungshin: When I listened to Japanese songs in Korea, I felt that I wanted to go to Japan.
Yonghwa: I listened to m-flo and B’z.
Jonghyun: In Korea, I went to L’Arc~en~Ciel’s live.
– What kind of memory do you have during your studying days?
Jonghyun: At our very first street live, we had only 4 audiences. But rather than feeling sad by the small number, we were sadder because we couldn’t understand Japanese language.
Yonghwa: At that time we felt fun, we  just wanted to do the live performance, rather than to gain popularity.
Minhyuk: I had fun living together too.
– What kind of music do you wanna make?
Yonghwa: We want to express ourselves in various genres of music and sound as a band.
Jonghyun: There is no color of “CNBLUE” yet. If we limit our color, then it won’t be interesting for our future. I want to think about it (our color) together with our fans.
